A Experimental Study on the Effects of Dojeukgangkitang

Abstract
|
|
|
These studies were conducted about the effects of Dojeukgangki-tang on analgesic action, sedative action, antipyretic action, action on the extracted ileum, action on blood vessels, action on blood pressure and respiration, and diuretic action through the experimental animals with the investigation of its clinical effects based on oriental medical literatures of Dojeukgangki-tang.
The results were as follows,
1. Analgesic effect by acetic acid method was noted.
The prolongation of anesthetic time by thiopental-Na was noted.
3. Transient strong contraction effect to automatic motion of an extracted mouse ileum was noted.
4. Markable histamint-like effect to the extracted guinea-pig ileum was noted,
5. The effect of descending blood pressure through vasodilation was noted_
6. Diuretic effect in mice was noted.
According to the above results, literatual and clinical effects of Dojeukgangkitang were consiswnt with the experimental studies
