Abstract
In order to investigate the effects of Dangguixusan on experimental blood stasis model induced by compression, 7.5kg weight was placed on the thigh(4.9§²) of rats for one hour and 30 minutes. Then the local and hematological changes were measured. The sample groups were orally administrated extracts of Dangguixusan one hour before the compression. The measurements were carried for sample control group ¥° 2 hours after inducement and for sample control group ¥± 4 hours after inducement.
The results are summarized as follows ;
1. Thigh circumference in sample group ¥° and ¥± decreased significantly when
compared to their respective control groups.
2. The dermal temperature in sample group ¥° and ¥± increased roughly when
compared to their respective control groups. In sample group ¥±, it decreased much significantly when compared to control group ¥±.
3. The platelet count in sample group ¥°and control group ¥° decreased. in sample group ¥± and control group ¥± increased when compared to their respective control groups.
4 The fibrinogen count in sample group ¥° increased significantly when compared to its control group ¥°.
5. The prothrombin time in sample group ¥° and ¥± did not decrease significantly when compared to control groups.
6. The FDP level in sample group ¥° and ¥± did not decrease significantly when
compared to their respective control groups.
In conclusion, Dangguixusan has effects on experimental blood stasis model induced by short-term compression. So, Dangguixusan can be used limitedly in the early stage of compression induced blood stasis symptoms. In subsequential experiments, the model should be further investigated.
