In order to study the effect or Onposan applied to sterile women, a series of expriments were conducted on the mice regarding the in vitro developmental effect of mouse embryos of the medium of Onposan, the ovulation of normal ovum, the production rate of embryos in mice, the in vitro developmental effect of mouse embryos, the level of serum of LH, FSH, Estradiol 17-β, Progesterone in mice, after administered the drug orally. The results were as follows.
1. The culture medium of the drug was not significantly the in vitro developmental effect of mouse embryos.
2. The ovulation or normal ovum was significantly increased after continuous the drug administered.
3. The production rate of embryos in mice was significantly increased after the drug administered.
4. The in vitro developmental effect of mouse embryos was significantly increased after the drug administered.
5. The levels of serum LH and FSH in mice were not significantly increased after the drug administered.
6. The levels of serum Estradiol 17-β in mice was few increased in a very small amount, but was not significantly.
7. The levels of serum Progesterone in mice was significantly increased after the drug administered.
