The Experimental study on the Histologic Response of the Grafted Allogeneic Bone Block into the Rat Calvarial Defect in Osteoporosis induced Rats after Ovariectomy

Abstract
As the elderly population is on a rise and the society is more and more complex, osteoporosis became considered as a major systemic disease causing severe impediment.
For the purpose of aknowledging the histologic response of the grafted allogeneic bone block into the rat calvarial defect in the osteoporotic rats and for applying the results to modify treatment planning in the dental management of osteoporosis
patients, the author induced osteoporosis by ovariectomy in rats, and observed the histologic response of the grafted allogeneic bone block.
@ES The results were as follows.
@EN 1. In the experimental group, more active and fast bone remodelling process was fund compared to the control group.
2. In the experimental group, 6 weeks after surgery, active bone remodelling was found in the surface of the graft.
3. In the control group, 14 weeks after surgery, new matured bone was observed, but those were not normal rat calvarial structure.
