Recently, trends of orthognoathic surgery focuses on esthetics improvement of patients, and it is increasing concerned about early surgery. It must be concerned about etiologic factors of dentofacial deformities when treatment is planned because
this is
a major factor in estimating the stability of result.
If more research about etiologic factors of dentofacial deformities is studied, the possibility of early surgery will be increased.
So we authors analysed about etiologic factors & epidemiologic studies the 40 patients who had been taken orthognathic surgery from January 1990 to October 1992 at the department of dentistry, Chungnam National University Hospital.
