Abstract
|

|
Thirty-three infertility patients who underwent ovulation induction and in vitro fertilization (IVF) by short protocol employing gonadotropin releasing hormone agonist (GnRHa) hMG and hCG were studied to investigate factor (EGF) in follicular
fluid
(FF)
and serum estradiol (E2) which were quantitatively analyzed by radioimmunoassay. @ES Subsequently the following results were obtained.
@EN 1. There was no statistically significant correlation between be3 concentrations of FF EGF and FF E2 (R=-0.1751, p>0.05).
2. There was no statistically significant correlation between the concentration of FF EGF and the maturity of oocytes (R=0.3282, p>0.05).
3. There was no statistically significant correlation between the concentration of FF E2 and the maturity of oocytes (R=0.2911, p>0.05).
4. There was no statistically significant correlation between the concentration of FF EGF and serum E2 (R=0.2075, p>0.05).
5. There was statistically significant correlation between the concentration of FF E2 and the total number of mature oocytes in 38 ovulation cycles (R=0.55, p<0.05).
In conclusion, there was no correlation between the concentrations of EGF and E2 in FF obtained by artificial ovulation, and there was no correlation between the follicular EGF and oocyte maturation.
