Abstract

The investigation of the emission concentration of the pollutants caused by the combustion of B - C oil in boilers was carried out for six months from July 1 to December 30 in 1981. For this investigation 10 smoke -tube boilers and 10 water - tube boilers were selected by random sampling out of the B - C oil combustion boilers now being used in Seoul area. The calculation of the emission factors sccording to fuel consumption, air-fuel ratio, boiler load and boiler capacity of B - C oil combustion boilers was the purpose of this research. The results of the investigation were as follows.
1. The emission factor of nitrogen oxide (Nox) in the B-C oil combustion boilers increased in proportion as boiler capacity and air - fuel ratio increased.
2. The emission factor of dust and sulfur dioxide (SOx) in the B - C oil combustion boilers increased in proportion to the increase of fuel consumption and boiler load, and decreased in inverse proportion to the increase of air - fuel ratio.
3. When the emission factors in the B-C oil combustion boilers was calculated, it was found that dust was 7.82 kg /ke, NOx 6.81 kg / lcg, SOx 16.6 S kg / k8, CO 1.53 kg / kE, and HC 0.18 kg / kQ.
4. The influence the four factors of fuel consumption, air-fuel ratio, boiler load, and boiler capacity was calculated by multiple regression analysis. It was found that the influence was statistically 38.9%.
