Sanitary Studies on the Under-Fround Water in Seoul Area

Abstract
|
|
|
This study was carried out to investigate the sanitary conditions of the under-ground water in Seoul area(12 places) from July to November 1981. The obtained results were summarized as follows ;
1) Water temperature, pH value, chloride ion, nitrate nitrogen, hardness, and consumed amounts of potassium per manganate of 12 samples of under-ground water, were suitable potable water for 12 samples, while nitrite and ammonia nitrogen were unsuitable for sample 1 to the regulation of standard water graduation.
2) Total bacteria contents were suitable to the limitation of standard water graduation(100/ml) for all samples, and coliform group were detected positive reaction for samples 1, 6, 9, and 10.
3) The contents of various metals were suitable for under-ground water examined to the regulation of standard water graduation.
