A Study on Health Status Evaluation of the Elderly in Sung Nam

Abstract

|
The purpose of this thesis is for the sake of providing the old people taken aged allowances as medical protected status with basic data for the better health services by checking their economical quality and environmental sanitary conditions.
The average age is 75.6 years old and the sex is female as 82% among them. The educational background is the illiterated of 43%. The 67 percent aged persons lived on government support. They have health problems in bones, digestive organs and nerve systems as 77.1%~82.4% in figure ranges. The 2.1%~8.5% could be judged as the unabled care even one item among six items by the measured ADL. The score of IADL is 7.3 on average in 10 limited point. The 10.6%~23.9% couldn’t be done anything. When we compare the score differences of physical states charecteristically, it shows the differences of blood pressure, urine checked result, a having assistant, a householding situation and leisure activities.
