Abstract

|
Car Navigation System (CNS) for vehicles is a noticeable and a high valued industry which consists of the Geographic Information System (GIS) technology, Satellite Communicatuion-Global Positioning System (GPS), Digital Road Maps, etc. and thus collecting the technologies about these fields are reguired and spreading effects to other related fields are also expected. This paper presents a standardization of database to digital road map data used in car navigation system and also developed a Car Navigation Prototype System by using the data manager to demonstrate that it can be efficiently used to implement a Car Navigation System
