A Study on the Improvement of Curriculum in the Junior College for the Dietitian by the Needs Analysis of the Catering Service Company Workers

Abstract
The purpose this study was to improvement the curriculum for department of food and nutrition in the junior college. In order to achieve the purpose, two methodologies were carried out. First is the need analysis of the dietitians who have worked in catering service companies, second is the survey for the the opinion of managers in the same company. Some result were as follows. 1. Dietitians have satisfied with their jobs, and have good human relations with other wokers in spite of repetitive works. 2. Dietitian have to obtain high level competencies for the catering service companies. 3. High level competencies for dietitian needs to upgrade for food serving management same as personal management material purchase, practice and field experience. 4. But the necessity of liberal arts, chemical subjects and food engineering subjects need to decrease for dietitian programs at the junior college.
