The Effect of Vitamin E on the Skin Mast Cells of X-Ray irradiated Rats

Abstract
|
|
|
This experiment was carried out with Vitamin E to study the skip mast cells of rats which were irradiated by 600R X-ray on the whole body.
Healthy and inbred rats were used, divided into controlled group and irradiated group respectively and so the following results were obtained.
1. Relative emergence numbers from the skin mast cells of the controlled group were 35.3±3.7, the most of then cousises of the rich granular type, showing a strong metac-hromatic reaction
2. Disposing of Vitamin E beforehand, a day after irradiating X-ray made profoundly move on the skin mast cells, appeared irregualr during, disappearance of granule and cellular breakage.
3. Disposing of Vitamin E beforehand, a week after irrdiating X-ray made the cell number, chromatin and disappearance recevered.
4. Vitamimin E phaved a protective role against the harm by means of X-ray irradiation on the skin mast cells.
