Abstract
Serum total cholesterol and cholesterol ester levels in normal full-term pregnant women were determined by zak and Fisher¢¥s methods and compared with levels of normal nonpregnant women.
The resulte obtained were as followe
1) In women affected with tozemia of prognancy, total cholesterol and cholerol ester levels were 13% and 18%, respectively and lower then those of normal term pregnant women.
2) In 6 eclampsia patients total cholestorol and ester levels were 22% and 28%, respectively, and lower than those of 16 preoclamosie patiens.
3) Cholesterol levels of all pregnent women studied were markedly higher than those of normal non-pregnant wmen.
