A case of Neurilemmoma

Abstract
A Neurilemmoma or Schwannoma is a rare, benign nerve sheath tumor derived from Schwann cell, Which occurs along the course of cranial, peripheral and sympathetic nerves.
They usually involved the scalp, face, neck, extremities, and also occasionally visceral organ, but the feed are usually spared.
Neurilemmoma mostly appear beteen 30 and 60 years of age, but may occur in any age group.
We deseribe a 17-year-old boy who had been suffered from solitary, thumb sized, darkbrown, tender nodule for two years on the dorsum of the left foot.
Histopathological findings showed on encapsulated tumor mass and two distinct tissue types designated as Antoni type A and Antoni type B. In Antoni type A, the predominant feature was the peculiar alignment of cells with elongated or spindle-shaped nuclei arranged in palisades. Antoni type B was dispersed through out the tumor between the type A tissue without any architectural pattern.
