Although the clinical significance of keratinized gingiva in periodontal or peri-implant inflammation is controversial, it is certain that the attached gingiva plays an important role in the stability of soft tissue. The attached gingival can increase resistance to injury and stabilize the position of the gingival margin. This case report provided three clinical cases of keratinized-gingival augmentation using an apically positioned flap, free gingival graft, and acellular dermal matrix graft. All cases demonstrated a successful increase in keratinized gingiva around the implant or in the edentulous area.
