Abstract

EZ Crown system (EZC), a new retention type implant prosthetic system that has not only easy retrievability but also no complication due to residual cement, was developed to overcome the problems of conventional retention mechanisms (screw-retained, cement-retained, and combined screw-and cement-retained) of implant-supported fixed dental prostheses. In this case report, we introduce clinical experience with a 6-month follow-up of zirconia fixed dental prosthesis fabricated with EZC. Under normal oral function, no removal or fracture of the EZC prosthesis was observed and no inflammatory findings were observed in the peri-implant soft tissue due to residual cement. EZC is expected to be used in various clinical cases in the future.
