Objective : The aim of this study was to determine the clinical effectiveness of intervention on driving for community older adults through a meta-analysis.
Methods : Data were collected from online search engines from foreign article databases and from a manual search from related journals. Two researchers carried out the literature selection independently and evaluated literature quality using Jadad score. 6 selected articles was determined using the Comprehensive Meta-Analysis 2.0 program.
Results : There were a total of 1,232 participants in the 6 selected articles. The effective sizes for driving behavior, driving skill were 0.07 and 0.42 respectively. The effective size of driving skill was statistically significant (p<0.05), which demonstrates a "medium effect size". This result is reliable, as significant statistical heterogeneity and publications bias were not found.
Conclusion : The results of this study show that interventions on driving for community older adults is effectively. This can be utilized effectively in evidence-based occupational therapy for older drivers.
