Influence of Mg^(2+), Ca^(2+) on the Serum Cholesterol Level Lowering(Ⅰ)

Abstract

|
The effects of dietary calcium, magnesium on the serum cholesterol concentration in rabbit was studied for a period of 21 days using isocalories and isonitrogenous basal diet. It is investigated that the serum cholesterol level lowering 10-30% by feeding with calcium and magnesium containning diet was performed.
There was no effect for the total protein, but there was some sort of effect for albumin and globulin. Particulary, the beta-globulin concentration was decreased by calcium and magnesium containning diet.
It is, also, investigated that there is almost no effect for the electrolytes concentration transport and phenomena in the cell through magnesium and calcium containning diets.
