A Study on the Motor Nerve Conduction Velocity in Korean

Abstract
|
|
|
The motor nerve conduction volocity and distal and proximal latencies of the evoked action potentials of filateral median nerves were measured in 34 healthy Koreans. (male 20, female 14)
The results were as follows.
1. The mean motor nerve conduction Velocity of right ulnar right median nerve was 2.77 ± 0.54 m/sec and left side was 2.76 ± 0.51 m/sec,
2. The mean distal latacy of the evoked action potential onerve was. 6O 14 6,.78 m/sec and that of ,left median nerve was 59.79 ± 6.99 m/sec.
3. The mean proximal latency of the evoked action potertial of the right median nerve was 6.78 ± 0.85 m/sec and 6.69 + 0.79 m/sec in left side.
4. There was no significant diflerenceo letween the sexes and also no differences related to the dominance of the hands.
