Early Parental Absence in Chronic Schizophrenia

Abstract
|

|
The Author studied the incidence of early parental absence in chronic schizophrenic patients who had treated in National Seoul Mental Hospital as outpatients and inpatients.
The incidence of the inpatient group whose prognosis were poor was 52% and the incidence of the outpatient group whose prognosis were good was 18%.
So, early parental absence may be an indicator of outcome in chronic schizophrenia.
