Abstract
|

|
The concepts of the future existence is closely, related with attitude toward death. It´s also influenced by age, religion and sociocultural backgrounds.
The authors reviewed the history of the psychology of death,-developmental process of cognitive function for death; the different attitude-toward death and future existence ac-cording to religion and sociocultural backgrounds; and the concepts of the future existence in Korea.
And the authors attempted to investigate the characteristics and attitudes of the concept about the future existence in the mentally ill geriatric patients by the analysis of the data from survey making use of questionarre method.
