Abstract
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of family strengths, views on marriage, and quality of dating relationships on unmarried men and women¡¯s awareness of marriage intentions.

Methods: The subjects of this study included 411 unmarried couples. Analysis of the collected data was carried out using an SPSS WIN 20.0 program.

Results: First, 88.8% of the subjects responded that they were willing to get married. The average scores of the quality of dating relationships, family strengths, and views on marriage were higher than average. Second, no affective variables on the marriage intentions of the subjects were influenced by socio-demographic characteristics. Third, family strengths, quality of dating relationships, and views on marriage (based on marriage intention) showed significant differences between the groups in all subordinate areas. Fourth, higher marriage intentions resulted from family strengths, positive views on marriage, younger ages of subjects, and higher evaluations of the quality of current relationships with partners.

Conclusions: When addressing late-age marriage and lack of marriage with individuals, the possibility of entering marriage increases by increasing the marriage intention. Improvements in family strengths, higher quality dating relationships, and the formation of positive views on marriage all need to be considered.
