Seo Mi-A
Abstract
Objectives: The study explored the divorce-recovery experiences of three middle-aged husbands.

Methods: Data were collected through in-depth interviews from April 2016 to May 2017. The narratives of participants were analyzed using Clandinin & Connelly¡¯s guidelines, focusing on situation, time, and interaction dimensions.

Results: The experiences were discussed in terms of the situation of the divorce crisis, the latent problems that began in childhood, the change from self-isolation to self-acceptance, and the recovery process, from fixation to dissolution, reframing, and variations throughout four therapy sessions.

Conclusions: Results from this study will contribute to effective counseling for those going through similar experiences.
