The Moderating Effects of Character Strengths on Mental Disorders of Middle-Aged Adults

Abstract
|
|
|
Objectives: This study examined how everyday stressors and character strengths impact the mental disorders of middle-aged adults.
Methods: A survey was conducted with 371 middle-aged internet users, ranging from 40 to 59 years old.
Results: The researchers identified six character strengths that have substantial moderating effects on the relationship between everyday stressors and mental disorders.
Conclusions: Character strengths can be used to develop various programs to enhance the mental health of middle-aged adults.
