Abstract
Oculogyric crises (OGCs) are uncommon dystonic movement disorders and characterized by paroxysmal, tonic, upward ocular deviation. Causes of oculogyric crisis can be classified into three categories: medications, neurometabolic disorders, neurodegenerative disorders such as encephalitis lethargica, and postencephalitic parkinsonism. However, oculogyric crisis related to autoimmune limbic encephalitis has not been reported yet. Herein we report a man who developed paroxysmal forceful upward deviation of eyes as an initial manifestation of autoimmune limbic encephalitis.
