The Clinical Prediction Model for Primary Care Physic
Bae Jong-Myon

Abstract
Primary physicians usually treat non-specific and vague clinical problems using only history taking, physical examinations, and simple tests. So uncertainty is involved inherently in the process of judgment and decision-making. To reduce it, the clinical prediction models (CPM) have been developed since 1980s. However the Korean academies of primary care are not interest in the CPM. Author summarized the definition, process of development, and usefulness and limitations of CPM in order to introduce the CPM for Korean primary physicians. And five strategies were suggested to activate CPM development for native patients.
