Immunomodulatory effects of Glycyrrhizae uralensis Fischer aqua-acupuncture solution (GRAS) and Artemisia asistica Nakai aqua-acupuncture solution (ANAS) were examined. GRAS and ANAS increased the proliferation of T and B cells. GRAS at the concentration of 5¡¿ resulted in 20% increase of T cell and 28.2% increase of B cell proliferation. ANAS at the concentration of 0.1¡¿ increased 31.4% of T cell and 39.3% of B cell proliferation. In addition, GRAS and ANAS remarkably increased cytolytic activity of purified T cell aganist K562 cell. GRAS showed more than 40% increase of cytolytic activity. ANAS also increased the cytotoxic activity of purified T cell. Therefore, we expect that GRAS and ANAS may have immunomodulating effect. Key Words:Glycyrrhizae uralensis Fischer aqua-acupuncture solution (GRAS), Artemisia asistica Nakai aqua-acupuncture solution (ANAS), T cell proliferation, B cell proliferation, Cytolytic activity
