A Clinical Study on Skin Pigmentation Changes After S Yakchim and P- Yakchim

Abstract
Objectives : The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of S Yakchim and P- Yakchim on skin pigmentation.
Methods : Data were collected form 12 patients who had been treated with S Yakchim and P- Yakchim due to skin pigmentation. We classified the patients randomly into 2 group, S Yakchim and P- Yakchim. Patients were treated with S Yakchim or P- Yakchim twice a week, total 5 times. The patients``s symptoms were evaluated with a portable fluorescent dermal diagnostic equipment, ECOSKIN.

Results : In S Yakchim, skin pigmentation of epidermis was changed from 25.1¡¾2.5 to 17.8¡¾5.4, that of dermis was changed from 36.2¡¾3.1 to 22.0¡¾6.9. And there were significant associations. In P- Yakchim, skin pigmentation of epidermis was 25.4¡¾5.1 to 18.2¡¾5.3, that of dermis was changed from 39.4¡¾11.0 to 28.6¡¾12.3. And there were significant associations. However, by the change of skin pigmentation between S Yakchim and P- Yakchim, there were no significant associations.

Conclusions : This study shows that there S Yakchim and P- Yakchim have therapeutic effects for skin pigmentation.
