Studies on Bioactivity Herbal Medicine Extracts Specific Prescription Acne Treatment

Abstract
Objectives : The aim of this study is bio-activity herbal medicine extracts specific prescription acne treatment.

Methods : In this study, analyzed the amount of total sugar, reducing sugar, protein and flavonoid of herbal medicine. Screening of minimum inhibitory concentration of acnes strains. The anti-oxidative effect of herbal medicine was analyzed by investigating 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl hydrazyl free radical scavenging activity. To investigate the anti-inflammatory effect, cyclooxygenase-2, tumor necrosis factor-a and interleukin-6 were measured.

Results : The EE extract have higher antimicrobial activity. CE extracts showed relatively higher anti-oxidative effect. All extract have similar anti-inflammatory and Inhibiting cyclooxygenase-2. EE extract have higher inhibition of tumor necrosis factor-a and interleukin-6.

Conclusions : EE extracts have anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory effect, and inhibition effect of the cyclooxygenase-2, tumor necrosis factor-a and interleukin-6.
