Therefore the purpose of this study is to examine the lived experience of male occupational therapists working in a setting that consists mostly of female occupational therapists.

Method : Semi-structured interview with 3 therapists were conducted where the data were subjected to interpretative phenomenological analysis.

Results : Three main themes were derived from the interview analysis: 1) difference in life experience, 2) expectation of a
male, and 3) feminine atmosphere.

Conclusion : The experiences of male occupational therapists may be considered for assignment of clients to therapists, and there may be a room for modification in the occupational therapy working environment for better service provision.
