Case Report of Conservative treatment by Oriental Medicine on Anterior Cruciate Ligament Tear

Abstract
|
|
|
Objective : The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of the conservative treatment by Oriental Medicine on a case of anterior cru-ciate ligament tear.
Methods : The improvement of clinical symptom was evaluated by Visual analogue scale (VAS), Range of motion(ROM) and lachman test.
Results : After treatment, the patient s VAS score was reduced from 10 to 3point. The ROM of knee is improved from 30° to 90° in active flexion.
Conclusions : In this study, the patient treated by Oriental Medicine showed reduction of pain and improvement of ROM. But instability of knee is still remained.
