Abstract
Objectives : To report a peroneal nerve injury case with foot drop which occurred after 70days of CAST treatment where no effects were observed following a month-long conventional conservative managemnet but responded positively to a 47-day conservative management program based on Korean traditional medicine.

Methods : The Numeric Rating Scale(NRS), Range of Motion(ROM), Manual Muscle Testing(MMT) grade of a patient diagnosed with peroneal nerve injury with foot drop and Lt. ankle pain was recorded at baseline. The patient was subject to Muscle Energy Technique, Shinbaro pharmacopuncture, Motion Style Acupuncture Treatment, The patient s NRS, ROM, and MMT grade were re-evaluated at discharge.

Results : Following a 47-day inpatient treatment, NRS scores dropped from 6 to 1, Dorsiflexion showed an increase from 0¡Æ to 40¡Æ, and the MMT grade of Dorsiflexion showed an increase from 1 to 4, all indicating favorable treatment outcomes.

Conclusion : Korean traditional approach for the treatment of peroneal nerve injury due to prolonged compression appears to be effective.
