Abstract

|
Objectives: The Purpose of this study is to investigate the clinical application of conservative treatment including Chuna for acute low back pain(LBP) with scheuermann's disease
Methods: We used acupuncture, herbal acupuncture, herbal medicine, Chuna for this patient. This patient received hospital treatment for 14 days. Treatment effects were measured using the Verbal numberic rating scale(VNRS) and Oswestry disability index(ODI), Range of motion(ROM), Straight leg raising test(SLRT).
Results: After conservative treatment, the patient's pain was controlled and VNRS score was decreased. ODI , ROM and SLRT also were improved.
Conclusions: Korean medicine conservative treatment including Chuna has a positive effect to control pain of acute LBP with Scheuermann's disease. However, further research is needed.
