The Study of Athlete Patients Visited Korean Medical Clinic in CheongJu-Gym at the 2016 CheongJu World Martial Arts Masterships

Abstract
|
|
|
Objective: The purpose of this study is to analyze characteristics of athletes who visited Korean Medical Clinic in CheongJu-Gym at the 2016 CheongJu World Martial Arts Masterships and provide basic data for specialization of Korean Medicine.
Methods: We investigated 103 cases of athletes who visited Korean Medical Clinic in CheongJu-Gym at the 2016 CheongJu World Martial Arts Masterships from 3, September 2016 to 8, September 2016.
Results & Conclusions:
1. The distribution of treatment with acupuncture was 49.6% and non-acupuncture treatment was 39%.
2. The nationality of patients most visited was Korean(52.4%).
3. The continent of patients most visited was Asia(73.8%).
4. Many patients were treated by acupuncture, taping, chuna treatment, dressing, cupping and physical therapy.
5. Korean Medicine is a preventive, clinical and doping free rehabilitative medicine.
