A Case Report of Motor Paralysis of Ulnar Tunnel Syndrome Treated by Boyanghwano-tang(Buyanghaiwu-tang) Gagam and Jungsongouhyul Pharmacopuncture

Abstract
|
|
|
Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the effect of korean medicine treatment including Boyanghwano-tang(Buyanghaiwu-tang) Gagam and Jungsongouhyul pharmacopuncture on ulnar nerve motor paralysis.
Methods : A Patient with ulnar nerve paralysis was treated by korean medicine treatment including Boyanghwano-tang(Buyanghaiwu-tang) Gagam and Jungsongouhyul pharmacopuncture. To investigate the outcome of the patient s improvement, we observed changes of the claw hand and changes in the adduction, abduction of the fourth(4th), fifth(5th) fingers.
Results : After treatments, claw hand, adduction and abduction of the 4th, 5th fingers recovered to normal.
Conclusions : Korean medicine treatment including Boyanghwano-tang(Buyanghaiwu-tang) Gagam and Jungsongouhyul pharmacopuncture showed effect to motor paralysis of ulnar tunnel syndrome. However, further research should be followed.
