Abstract

|
Painful testicular torsion is a true surgical emergency which can occur at any age. Late presentation or failure to early diagnosis may lead to loss of the testis on affected side. Remaining solitary testis can do endocrine and reproductive function. We report 2 cases of testicular torsion presented with lower abdominal pain and gastrointestinal symptoms. Delayed diagnosis leads to irreversible ischemic damage of the affected testis. We performed orchiectomies to affected testes and preventive orchiopexies to contralateral testes in two patients.
