Abstract
We report a case of a parameatal urethral cyst in a 9-year-old boy, which is a very rare congenital anomaly. The cystic mass at the tip of the glans penis was recognized when the boy was an infant, and he presented to our clinic at the age of 9 when the mass had grown enough to cause poor cosmesis and spraying of urine. It gradually became more prominent and filled up soon after several needle aspirations at a local clinic. Complete excision of the cyst and total removal of the epithelium was performed without recurrence at an 18 month follow-up. A histological examination showed that the cyst was lined by squamous epithelium.
