|
An ectopic vaginal ureter opening is an infrequent cause of urinary incontinence, especially in adulthood. Occasionally, some cases of ectopic kidney with single vaginal ectopic ureter can occur without duplex urinary system. We report here a 33-year-old woman who had been continuously incontinent with an otherwise normal voiding pattern after toilet training. Ultrasound and contrast CT scan demonstrated a solitary functioning left kidney and a small dysplastic right lumbar kidney. The dysplastic kidney was removed whole at transperitoneal laparoscopy uneventfully. Patient has been continent after surgery.
