Abstract
A 12-year-old girl without unusual medical history visited our emergency center with hemoptysis. Her physical examination showed nothing unusual. The chest dynamic CT scan showed aberrant systemic arterialization of basal segmental pulmonary artery of left lower lobe originating directly from descending aorta without lung sequestration. But the superior segmental pulmonary artery originated from pulmonary artery as usual. Lower lobar bronchus was patent and showed no consolidation or cystic lesion. The vascularity of left lower lobe was increased and the volume was slightly decreased. Laboratory data was unremarkable. We performed ligation of aberrant systemic artery and left lower lobectomy. Venous drainage was as usual into inferior pulmonary vein. She showed no particular symptom and was doing well at 6 months after operation.
