|
In spite of the significance of ethics-humanity education in medical schools, its concept and the goals of medical ethics are not clearly established yet. Then it causes numerous problems with the teaching methodology and the efficacy of its education. In order to solve the core problem of the ethics humanity education, it is necessary to be classified by its domain in the education, such as medical ethics, bioethics, professional ethics. Some ethicists argue that the promotion of medical ethics competence based on the medical professionalism should be recognized as the ultimate goal of basic medical ethics education. Medical ethics competence is composed of knowledge, problem solving skills, and professionalism. Through a critical review of ethicists¡¯ argument, in this article, the writer inquires that the education of ethicshumanity should be based on personality culture, that would be, the conscience which is the foundation of moraldecision and moral sensibility. Furthermore, one would survey the reversed Humanity-education curriculum in Daegu Catholic University school of medicine that is reflected on its philosophy and policy.
