Does the Inflammation cause the Neoplasia?
Park Jae-Bok

Abstract
It has been reported that the neoplastic tumors are associated with the inflammation for several decades. By the recent development of molecular biology and genetics the two major biological phenomena are well understood. The inflammation and neoplasia have complicated and sophisticated processes in which various type of inflammatory cells, endothelial cells and a variety of chemical mediators are engaged in. The two biological processes are very different in etiology, progression and result. But inflammation and neoplasm have some commons in the cytology, the involving cells, and chemical mediators. Some causes of inflammation are the causes of neoplasm, and the cells and mediators involved in inflammation are also participate in the process of tumorigenesis. The inflammation is a defensive and protective phenomenon of multicellular organism and the neoplasm is a disease of uncontrolled cellular proliferation, forming space occupying lesion. But inflammation and neoplasm have some commons in the cytology, the involving cells, and chemical mediators. Some causes of inflammation are the causes of neoplasm, and the cells and mediators involved in inflammation also participate in the process of tumorigenesis. There are many documents confirming that malignant tumors are occurred in the sites of chronic inflammatory diseases of various type of tissues and organs. Therefore it is logical that the long inflammation which can develop gradually genetic changes, is regarded to be a predisposing factor of carcinoma. And the The inflammation could not be the direct cause of the neoplasia although the inflammation and neoplasia share commonly in involving cells, mediators and molecular mechanisms.
