Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relation of caffeine intake and stress in students studying health science and medicine. This study attempts to promote a healthier and more fulfilling college life of students by providing some basic information on caffeine intake and related health concerns.

Methods: The participants were 143 the third year and the fourth year college students in public health and medicinerelated studies (nursing, medicine, public welfare, radiology, and physical therapy) in the city of Daegu. All of these students have experienced clinical training. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data, and data were
analyzed by applying frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson
Correlation, and Multiple Regression with PC-SPSS 14.0.

Results: Most of the students in public health and medicine related studies were taking caffeine regularly and female students took more than male students. Frequent snacking behavior was seen very often among them. Stress seemed to be a meaningful factor in this study.

Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, with the data described above, the necessity of the study regarding why humans consume caffeine and also, there should be more attempts to solve health problems and concerns
involving caffeine intake of college students.
