Abstract
All humans want to correct bodily disharmonies and deformities. Various types of foreign materials have been used for the purpose of the reconstruction of congenital or acquired deformities. However, they have not been tolerated by tissue without certain undesirable foreign body reaction.

To compare the effects of implantation of the several foreign meterials, the auther implanted paraffin, organogen, silicone gel and block, and metal, subdermally.

Histopathologic obsercations were made on the 2nd and 8th weeks after implantation.

The obtained results were as follows :

1. Immplantation of paraffin and of organogen induced chronic granulomatous lesion with massive inflammatory cells infiltration without definitive localization.

2. In the silicone gel and block, and metal implantation groups, there were fibrous capsule formation and the lesions were relatively well circumscribed from the neighboriug tissue with lesser degree of imflammatory cell infiltrations than that of paraffin or orgenogen implantation groups.

3. The occurrences of granulomatous lesions on the untoward sites were frequent in paraffin or organogen implantation groups.
