Abstract
Kaposi¡¯s sarcoma is slowly progressive and rare mesenchymal tumor usually occurring on the skin of lower extremities. It is characterized clinically by red-purple plaques and nodules.

Essential histologic features include proliferation of small blood vessels with endothelial cells, proliferation of spindle cells, and extravasation of erythrocytes with deposition of hemosiderin pigment.

Recently, aside from the classic form, increased occurrence of Kaposi¡¯s sarcoma was seen among young homosexual men in New York and California. On facing such new epidemic, etiopathogenesis is vigorously studied in relation to acquired immune deficiency syndrome(AIDS).

Kaposi¡¯s sarcoma is very rare in Korea, so that seven cases have been reported so far from 1969 till 1981.

Authors have experienced a case in 72 year old male. who have visited Chung-ang University Hospital complaining of multiple painless bluish papules and noduleon both hands, legs and feet for 3 years.

We hereby represnts the histologic findings of the patient and review of various references on Kaposi¡¯s sarcoma.
