A Survey of Medical Technologist¢¥s Job Satisfaction



Abstract
This study was an attempt to correlate medical technologists¢¥ job satisfaction with selected characteristics of their background. The subjects were 661 Korean medical technologists. Data collection was carried out by mailed questionnaire from July 10 to September 10, 1986. Data analysis was done using mean and ANOVA. Results of the study are as follows:
1 . Medical technologists expressed dissatisfaction with their salary irrespective of their background characteristics.
2 . Medical technologists who expressed a high degree of satisfaction with opportunities for promotion were over 51 years of age, female, unmarried, had less than two years experience and were high school graduates.
3 . Medical technologists expressing a high degree of satisfaction with their work environment were older, female, married, and had more than 10 years experience.
4 . Those who expressed a high degree of satisfaction with their relationships with doctors were older, male, married and had more than 10 years experience.
