McIndoe Operation Using Simply Manufactured Mold
Abstract
McIndoe operation is one of the surgical treatments for congenital absence of vagina. In that operation, the basic technique is skin graft inlay, so the construction of the mold is essential to prevent secondary contracture of the grafted skin.
The author introduced a new simple method of manufacturing a mold made of methyl methacrylate. It is suthor's policy to offer this operation to these patients as soos as they reach physical maturity, and have an inteligent understanding of what
is
wrong, and what is the critical importance of their own role in achieving the best final result. It seems better to use full thickness skin graft than to use split thickness skin graft.
