Recurarization after Neuromuscular Reversal Administration of Sugammadex in Patients Underwent Robot-Assisted Surgery

Abstract
In robot-assisted surgery, intense neuromuscular block is needed to avoid patients¡¯ direct injury by robotic device. Currently, sugammadex reversal following continuous infusion of rocuronium-induced muscle relaxation in robot-assisted surgery was widely performed. A 67 kg, 65-year-old man with chronic kidney disease underwent robot-assisted radical prostatectomy, adrenalectomy and retroperitoneal mass excision concurrently over 12 hours. During operation, rocuronium was continuously infused, thereafter 200mg sugammadex was administered at the end of surgery. The patient recovered from neuromuscular blockade enough for measured TOF ratio was over 0.9. Fifty minutes later, patient's showed apnea, thereby endotracheal intubation and mechanical ventilation was performed.
