Below-Knee Amputation with Sagittal Technique.

Abstract

|
In a fifty-one-year old man, with diagnosis of Buerger´s disease, the below knee amputation was done by the sagittal technique, in which approximation of he medial and lateral musculocutaneous flap was placed sagittal in front of the obliquely resected stump of the tibia.
The result was satisfactory and this seems to show much advantages of this procedure above the other conventional methods in the management of dysvascuiar lower legs.
