Effect of Physostigmine on the Contraction of the Isolated Chick Biventer Cervicis Muscle by McN-A-343

Abstract
|
|
|
1. McN-A-343 produced contraction of the isolated chick biventer cervicis muscle preparations, which was markedly inhibited in the presence of physostigmine(30mg /ml).
2. The DFP-pretreated muscle preparations reacted with contraction as in the non-treated control muscle. The contraction was markedly inhibited in the presence of physostigmine.
3. The contraction by McN-A-343 was markedly weakened in the denervated preparations. This contraction was not inhibited in the presence of physostigmine.
