Delivery in Patients after Previous Cesarean Section

Abstract
This study was investigated of the 98 cases of delivery after previous cesarean section from October, 1982 to June, 1984 at the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Chonnam University Hospital.
The results were as follows;
1) 63(64.3%) cases were allowed to trial labor and successful transvaginal delivery was 47(74.6%) cases and total repeat cesarean section was 51(52.0%) cases.
2) Indication for repeat cesarean section before labor were wanted tubal ligation in 17(48.6%) cases, CPD in 504.3%) cases, previous classic section in 4(11.4%) cases.
3) Success rate of trial labor by indication of previous cesarean section CPD showed 60% whereas group of other than CPD revealed 84.2%.
4) A case (1.6%) of uterine dehiscence among the cases of trial labor was
encountered.
5) There were no corrected perinatal mortality and maternal mortality among the cases of trial labor.
Judging from the results obtained, trial labor controlled with under strict indications could expect satisfactory outcome.
